Any resident or local community group can apply to the Trust for funding. There are certain criteria that must be met before the Trust will consider a funding application:
The Trust will only consider projects which benefit the communities of Lochgoilhead or Carrick Castle
Grants of £1,000 or more will normally only be given to groups having a constitution and holding management and financial records
A degree of match funding is desirable for all applications exceeding £1,000. A group or organisation applying for a grant of more than £6,000 must be able to contribute a minimum of 25% funding to the project.
Multiple applications from the same organisation and for the same project or programme of work will be considered as cumulative in terms of match funding thresholds.
The Trust will not fund projects or activities which are the responsibility of Argyll & Bute Council or another public body
The Trust will not consider retrospective applications
Applications must be made on the forms provided by the Trust
The Trust expects grants to be used for the purpose intended and will require proof of this at times agreed when the grant is made
The Trust requires any unused portion of a grant to be repaid so that others may benefit
This presentation explains how we make funding decisions.
